The terms, plainly

Truth by Ashfi offers education and perspective on why families, in-laws and marriages behave the way they do, drawn from history, biology and psychology.

It is not therapy, counselling, psychiatric treatment, medical advice, or legal advice, and it does not replace any of them. I am not a licensed therapist, doctor or lawyer, and no therapist–patient or lawyer–client relationship is created by buying anything here or by speaking with me.

Nothing here is a diagnosis, and nothing here should be used to decide whether to start, stop or change medical treatment. Please take those decisions with a qualified professional.

If you are in crisis, in danger, or thinking about harming yourself, this website is not the right help. Please contact a qualified professional or an emergency service where you live, right away.

The material is here to help you understand your situation and decide what you want to do about it. Every family is different, and I cannot and do not promise that a relationship will improve, that anyone else will change, or that any specific result will follow. What you do with the understanding is yours.

• The course — ongoing access to online video lessons and their bonus materials, watched on this website. The course is still being completed; the modules already released are available now, and the rest appear as they are recorded, at no extra cost to you.

What you buy is licensed to you, for your own personal use. You may read it, keep it, print a copy for yourself, and use what you learn however you like in your own life.

Please don’t share, forward, upload, resell or republish the book or the course videos, or post them anywhere others can download them. Everything here is written, filmed and paid for by one person. Course access is personal to you and not for sharing an account.

All the writing, video and images remain my copyright. Quoting a short passage with credit is welcome; reproducing the work is not.

Payments from India are handled by Razorpay. International payments are handled by Dodo Payments, who act as the merchant of record for those orders and charge any applicable sales tax or VAT. Prices are shown before you pay, and your card details never touch this website.

There is a refund policy for every offering, and I stand behind it. The terms differ by product, so each one has its own page — see the cancellation & refunds page.

I will treat you with respect, and I ask for the same in messages, chat and reviews. I may decline to keep working with someone who is abusive — with a refund where that is fair.

Course access is tied to the email address you bought with, so please use one you can actually reach. If you lose access, write to me and I’ll sort it out.

How your information is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy.

If you leave a review, you’re giving permission for it to be shown on this site with the name you signed it with. Your email address is never published. Ask me and it will be taken down.

I do my best to keep everything online and working, but I can’t promise the site is never down for maintenance or for reasons outside my control. If a fault stops you getting something you paid for, tell me and I will fix it or refund you.

To the extent the law allows, my responsibility for any claim relating to something you bought is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country, and nothing here excludes liability for fraud or for anything that cannot lawfully be excluded.

These terms may be updated; the date at the top will change. The terms that apply to your purchase are the ones in force on the day you bought.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction. If you bought as a consumer elsewhere, this does not take away the protection of your own country’s consumer law.
